The County Durham Registered Trader Scheme has been set up to help consumers choose reputable tradesmen to carry out work in their homes.

Businesses that have joined the scheme have been fully vetted by Durham County Council Trading Standards Service and have satisfied the rigorous audit procedure.

Traders must agree to abide by the scheme's code of practice.
